Nouvel outil d'ecaillage portatif et mecanise pour des mines souterraines

Abstract
Dans la premiere partie de cet article on discute le mode d'ecaillage actuellement en usage dans des mines souterraines. Par la suite, on presents la problematique d'ecaillage a I'aide de barres conven-tionnelles et on discute les plus recents developpements des outits d'ecaillage portatifs et mecanises ainsi que les techniques de detection des roches branlantes. Plus tard, on analyse la tache d'ecaillage avec des barres conventionnelles. Dans les chapitres qui suivent on presente un concept d'un outil d'ecaillage portatif et mecanise developpe a I'Universitd Laval, ainsi que les resultats des essais de cet outil, effectues dans quelques mines au Quebec. On constate que te nouvel outil d'ecaillage demontre un potentiel interessant font au niveau de I'effort requis pour effectuer la tache d'ecaillage que de la security des mineurs.
On conclut que I'application de cet outil fera un pas important sur la voie d'amelioration des conditions de travail dans les exploitations souterraines, tout en assurant une qualite accrue de 1'ecaillage.

Summary: Dorbyl Heavy Engineering has been manufacturing winders since 1949 mostly for the South African mining industry.
