Corrélation et mélange dans un système de production minière

Abstract La connaissance du niveau de variation de 1'alimentation d'une usine mineralurgique est essentielle pour estimer le taux de recuperation dans un concentrateur. De plus, il est important de connaitre la periode moyenne de correlation afin d'ameliorer la qualite des controles et de l'automatisation. Le modele propose permet de predire ces parametres a partir du mineral en place et des activites d'exploitation dans une operation a ciel ouvert. 11 est base sur la combinaison des variogrammes directionnels dans diverses zones d'un gisement, ce qui permet de definir la correlation a la sortie de chaque zone en fonction des decisions operationnelles, puis sur une loi binomiale modifiee, afin de separer mineral et steriles dans le but de decrire variance et correlation dans le mineral meme. Les statistiques classiques sont alors utilisees pour decrire la combinaison de plusieurs zones et obtenir la variance et la correlation au concentrateur.

Summary: This article discusses how recent changes in the federal and Quebec income tax laws have contributed to an improved investment climate for mineral exploration in the Province of Quebec. Individual investors who are resident in Quebec and who are in the highest tax bracket (1984-60.4% marginal rate) may obtain tax benefits that result in only nine cents of each invested dollar being at risk.

Summary: Silver occurs in about 200 minerals in variable amounts. Silver ores usually have 5 or 6 and in some instances as many as 10 species of silver minerals. All these minerals may have different flotation and leaching properties and should be correctly identified for successful recoveries. Grain size and host minerals which are critical in gold recovery, are not always as important for silver minerals.
