Exploration• Expenditure, Discovery Rate and Methods

CIM Bulletin1970
D. R. DERRY, Consulting Geologist, Derry, Michener & Booth, Toronto, Ont.
This paper up-dates an earlier paper by the author on the rate of new Canadian mineral discoveries and the exploration methods which were principally responsible for these finds. He concludes that the ratio of exploration expenditure to production value must be increased if we are to provide sufficient new reserves for the future.
