The author will introduce and describe the nature of Fiberglas-Reinforced Plastics. Successful applications of corrosion-resistant structures will be shown and described, including pipe, ducts, tanks and other equipment. These structures are generally designed to handle corrosive liquids and gases and have proved both satisfactory and economical in service in various industries in Canada. The s pecification of structures will be discussed in relation to materials, construction and workmanship, physical properties and methods of testing.
