Cominco Development in Lead Sintering Technique

THE LEAD SMELTING department of The Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada, Limited (Cominco), at Trail, B.C. treats materials from numerous ,sources for the recovery of lead, and, of secondary importance, for the .recovery of sulphur as SO2 The department's sintering section has a .capacity of 1,500 tons daily. This section is being replaced by a new charge-handling and sintering plant with a daily capacity of 2,000 tons of finished sinter.
