Fluo-Solids Roasting of Arsenopyrite Concentrates at Cochenour Willans

FOR the past year and a half, the mill of Cochenour Willans Gold Mines, Limited, McKenzie Island, Ontario has been roasting arsenopyrite- gold concentrates, prior to cyanidation, by means of a roaster employing techniques that are new and novel. The roaster 1s known as the Dorrco 'fluo-solids( l) reactor', and the technique as 'fluidization'.
