Relationship of Structure to Ore Deposition at the Britannia Mines
THE property of the Britannia Mining and Smelting Company, Limited, is situated on the east side of Howe sound, about six miles from its head. It is roughly thirty miles by water from Vancouver, one of the important ports of the Pacific and the industrial and financial centre of British Columbia. Howe sound is navigable for ocean-going vessel, and Britannia Beach is a daily port of call for the commodious boats of the Union Steamship Company, sailing from Vancouver. Few mines are so ideally situated or have so many or varied natural advantages.
