A STOCK-TAKING OF THE PROFESSION WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO EXPLORATION
Twenty-five years ago mining engineering in Canada was not a profession. To-day the members of the mining fraternity can fairly claim for themselves the professional status. If their pretension is not fully warranted by fact it is not for lack of any technical attainment or service to the public but by reason merely of their neglect to cultivate the cohesion and consciousness that are the outward and visible signs of a professional body.
