MINERAL COMMERCE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CANADA'S HUGE UNFAVOURABLE TRADE BALANCE WITH THE UNITED STATES

This growing dependence of Canada upon foreign mineral commodities, just referred to, applies particularly in the direction of the United States. There is, in fact, no more significant feature of Canada's mineral trade than the manner in which it affects the Dominion's commercial standing with that country.
