Business Ecosystems: Innovation Strategy for the Mining Industry

While the focus of companies in most industries has progressed from competing on efficiency and effectiveness to competing on continuous innovation; the mining and minerals sector has not significantly changed.
Business ecosystems have been employed by a number of sectors such as information communications technology, aerospace/defense, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals to significantly accelerate innovation, decrease cost and risk, increase revenue and grow shareholder value. Many products we use today from our smart phones to potato chips and even advanced weapons systems are commonly built on platforms developed through business ecosystems.
This presentation will provide an overview of innovation business ecosystems with examples from other industries. CMIC’s approach open innovation business ecosystem business model to fundamentally change the industry will be highlighted.
