Building Dialogue for Water Solutions

Vancouver 2014
Access to water is essential to both the mining and agriculture industries. It can also become a contentious issue between them. One of the primary concerns of an agricultural community faced with a developing mining project is the potential loss or contamination of local water sources. Failure to effectively address this concern can jeopardize a company’s Social License to Operate. This presentation will share a junior company’s experience in reaching solutions regarding water use in an agricultural region of northern Mexico, through dialogue established with local communities.
