Abstract Cameco has a series of examples where we hire northern Saskatchewan employees with little or no experience in a given occupation and provide all training for the occupation after the initial hiring process. A couple of examples of this are raisebore operators, mill operators and radiation technicians. The presentation will outline the strategies employed by Cameco to ensure success and the training evolutions using this approach leading to successful transition into the workforce.
