CIM member Gerald Hatch dies at 91

Gerald G. Hatch, CIM member and Canadian Hall of Fame inductee, passed away on June 9, 2014 at the age of 91. Hatch made significant contributions to the mining industry, particularly through his multi-discipline consulting services, and successfully advanced metallurgical processing at mining operations worldwide. His company, Hatch Associates, has developed and produced a number of metallurgical projects locally and abroad. An alumnus of McGill University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Hatch was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Pamela, and is survived by his four children and their families.
