Logistics: Electra Mining 2014 is held every 2 years, and is the largest mining and construction show in the continent of Africa. Canada has been a regular participant for 10 consecutive events. The event incorporates the mining, construction, industrial and electrical industries, bringing these complimentary industries into one venue. The mining component of the show will house more than 1,000 exhibition booths and attract more than 35,000 visitors.

Further to being richly endowed with minerals, South Africa’s strategic position as a springboard into the rest of the African market makes it an attractive local for Canadian companies to use Electra Mining as a springboard into Africa.
Program: The Trade Commission Service carries out a country briefing before the show commences. Also, scheduled is a presentation with one or more major mining houses where they outline to rules of engagement to become a supplier. Several African Trade Commissioners are present to outline the business climate in their respective countries.
