CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstract Deadline Extended April 14, 2014
On behalf of the ASCE Aerospace Division, you are invited to submit an abstract and paper for presentation at the 14th ASCE Earth and Space Conference. This year’s conference will be held October 27-29, 2014, in St. Louis, Missouri (USA).
Abstracts should align with the conference theme “Engineering in Extreme Environments” and be submitted in one of four interrelated topical areas:
Granular Materials in Space Exploration
The unconsolidated, granular nature of planetary regolith (soil) raises fundamental questions about its properties and behavior everywhere from Earth to the Moon and Mars to the asteroids and beyond.
Exploration and Utilization of Extra-Terrestrial Bodies
Methodologies, techniques, instruments, concepts, missions and system level designs associated with robotic and human exploration of the Moon, Mars, Near Earth Asteroids and other planetary bodies.
Advanced Materials and Designs for Hydraulic, Earth, and Aerospace Structures
New techniques in experimental, computational, and analytical mechanics are expanding understanding of the behavior of composite, smart, and new materials.
Structures in Challenging Environments: Dynamics, Controls and Sensors
Integration of sensors into structural and material systems enables more effective and precisely tuned performance, as well as remote evaluation and control of space and terrestrial systems.
Submit abstracts online. For format and detailed information, please go to http://earthspaceconf2014.mst.edu/.
Notification of acceptance by May 15, 2014.
Feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1- 573-341-6222, if you have any questions or need assistance. I look forward to receiving your submissions and meeting you at the conference in October.
