Mining Techniques Scholarship 2012
Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) is an organization of that is made up of mining professionals who encourage professional development, networking and knowledge sharing. The CIM Red Lake Branch promotes mining within the community of Red Lake by organizing technical lectures and social events to its membership. We recognize that the future of CIM depends on attracting, developing and retaining youth in our industries. With the partnership of Confederation College we are proud to announce the new scholarship for students in the Mining Techniques program at the Red Lake Campus.
Deadline for Application: March 1, 2012
Amount of Scholarship: $1,000.00 (paid in one instalment)
Free Membership to CIM Red Lake Branch for 2012-13
Criteria: Open to students attending Confederation College’s Mining Techniques program at the Red Lake Campus only. Graduate of grade 12 or mature students are welcome to apply. Please include involvement in extracurricular activities and community service as well as your goals and aspirations after completing the Mining Techniques program.
Preference will be given to a student from the Red Lake area; with relationship to current or former member of our CIM branch; and/or displaying financial need as determined by Confederation College’s Financial Need Assessment.
Requirements for Payment: Confirmation of registration and submission of transcript for first semester marks (instalment - $1000.00)
