Mr. Scott Grant, P.Eng. from Cameco

Mr. Grant was born and raised in the Toronto area, there he studied Civil Engineering and graduated from the University of Waterloo.

His past employment consists of working for Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) for 15 years in the safety analysis area. The majority of time was in Mississauga, ON and one year in Pinawa, MB. A career highlight was performing an assessment of the Chernobyl reactor event for EPRI (US Electrical Utilities). In 1993 Mr. Grant managed the Safety & Licensing Department of AECL’s office in Saskatoon. After AECL closed down their Saskatoon location in 1996, employees were offered relocation but Mr. Grant chose to stay in Saskatoon.

Thereafter, Mr. Grant went to work for Areva (then known as Cogema) for seven years, two of which was in the Head Office in Saskatoon and five at McClean Lake Operation in Licensing and Quality Management Roles.

In 2003 Mr. Grant joined Cameco, managing SHEQ at Key Lake and McArthur River Operations. Currently he is in charge of the Key Lake Revitalization Program.
