C.I.M. Red Lake Branch – John Kovala Memorial Scholarship

Deadline for Application:  May 27th, 2011

Amount of Scholarship:                      $1,000.00 (paid in two instalments)

Criteria:                 Open to students from the Red Lake Area pursuing post secondary study at a college or university, but not limited to the first year of post secondary study.

                                Graduate of grade 12 or student in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of qualifying program.

                                Academic excellence (minimum average of 80%).

                                Involvement in extracurricular activities and community service will be a consideration.

                                Pursuing education in the field of mining, including but not limited to degrees in Engineering/Technology (Mining, Metallurgical, Geological, Environmental, Mineral Processing), Geology (Mining, Exploration, Economic), Geophysics, Geochemistry or Environmental Science.

Requirements for Payment:             Confirmation of Registration and transcript (for first instalment - $500.00) and a transcript of second semester marks (for second instalment - $500.00)
