CIM Leadership Development Program
A Comprehensive Leadership Development Program designed specifically for those in the Mining, Minerals and Materials Industry
In order to ensure that the mining, minerals and materials industry is defined by leadership excellence in addition to technical excellence, CIM has launched a comprehensive leadership development program designed specifically for those in the mining, minerals and materials industry. Highlights of the program include the following:
- A twelve month program consisting of 10 workshop days, to take place in 3 separate sessions (3 days, 4 days and 3 days).
- Extensive work in between workshop sessions including coaching, on-line discussion forums, webinars, journaling and on-the job activities.
- A comprehensive assessment and feedback process, including a personalized 360 assessment, an emotional intelligence assessment and at least two personality assessments.
- Senior faculty members consisting of a nationwide leadership expert and a senior industry leader.
- Mentoring by a senior executive in the mining, minerals and materials industry.
- A cohort-based program in which participants are grouped with 18-24 industry peers. Cohorts will be formed from individuals who have similar leadership responsibilities (i.e. mid-managers, front-line supervisors, future leaders).
The next program will start in the fall of 2012. Dates and locations are as follows:

The program fee is $9,750.00 plus HST.
This fee is all inclusive and covers the following:
- All facilitation, assessments, coaching and mentoring expenses
- All course materials including books, articles, etc.
- Access to on-line programs as required
- Conference facilities while at the workshops
