Mopani receives P&H MinePro equipment

A P&H MinePro Services Cubex underground 6200N drill and model R110 Megamatic booster compressor has been added to the eight-drill fleet at Mopani Copper, Zambia. The drill is equipped with the Accra Feed system.

Outokumpu technology big player in Hamburg project

Outokumpu Technology will deliver basic engineering, equipment, training, construction supervision and commissioning for Norddeutsche Affinerie’s (NA) Silver Electrolysis Project in Hamburg. Basic engineering is to be finalized in June, and start up is scheduled by year’s end. NA will become the fourth biggest silver producer globally.

New crusher from Sandvik

The new Hydrocone® H7800 crusher is being launched by Sandvik Rock Processing, designed to handle the toughest mineral processing applications. Increased capacity and lower production costs offer a good replacement solution for outdated crushers.

Two towers to Pacific Rim

DESOM Systems Inc. shipped two atmospheric cooling towers (11 m by 10.4 m by 9 m) to provide cooling of the hot, pregnant solutions from an autoclave leaching process at an operation in the Pacific Rim. Fabricated of corrosion resistant FRP, the two towers were shipped completely assembled to eliminate onsite construction costs. During cooling, impurities in the leach solution will be precipitated out of solution.

Bucyrus ships to Peru

Southern Peru Copper Corporation (SPCC) purchased a 495BII shovel and two 49RIII rotary blasthole drills from Bucyrus. The shovel and one drill will work at the Cuajones mine, and the other drill is joining the existing Bucyrus fleet at the Toquepala mine. Delivery of all machines is expected to be completed this summer.
